Like many of us, my life has been filled of unexpected twists and turns.

I grew up with two loving parents and a younger sister who was my biggest fan, I was surrounded by support and encouragement. And even though I was always an anxious and shy child, I was still adventurous and freely expressed myself. When I was 9, I started swimming competitively. I swam for 12 years and the sport shaped me in many ways. Some good, some bad. I was able to push down any axiety or emotions with a constant routine and new goals to reach for. I worked my way up to a Division One athlete and swimming was my life.

When it was time to end my swimming career I was completely lost. Years of neglecting my mental and physical health in favour of my athletic pursuits left me feeling unthethered. I didn't know who I was. The anxiety and mental illnesses I struggled with took control. In 2018, my health was declining rapidly and I was admitted into treatment.

Pure Balanxed was created by a need for comfort.

I wanted to wear things I felt like myself in. I couldn't find what I needed, so I started making it. I was able to find my balance again - to create something that truly aligned with my values and what I wanted my life to look like.

Now my mission is to create beautiful basics for everyday life.

Each piece is desgined to be something you can throw on and feel great in. You'll notice our affirmation tags - a small but meaningful detail that has become our signature. They were created to carry a message of strength for those moments you may need a reminder.
